The UK standard for professional engineering competence requires five elements in which all applicants must demonstrate competence:

Leadership and Management - Responsible for planning a project, overseeing a budget, and leading a team. 

Communication: You need to communicate your ideas well to other engineers, clients, and the people who are part of your project.

Professional Commitment: Commit to ethical conduct, safety, and sustainable development of the profession.
