Arc Raiders Loot Breakdown | U4GM Scavenging Tips

Finding an Air Freshener in ARC Raiders can turn an ordinary scavenging run into a difficult extraction decision. The item looks like disposable clutter, yet it currently serves project progression and Flame Spray crafting, so selling it on sight is an easy way to slow yourself down. If you're checking ARC Raiders BluePrints alongside your project requirements, remember that this item is less about its 2,000 Coin price and more about what it lets you do next.

Search Routes Beat Rumored Spawns

Air Fresheners are uncommon trinkets linked to Mechanical loot, with a stack size of five and a weight of 0.3 kilograms. They can't be recycled or salvaged, which leaves you with a simple choice: keep them, submit them, craft with them, or sell them. For farming, don't build a route around one supposedly guaranteed shelf. Check vehicle interiors first, especially grouped cars, then move through apartments, offices, shops, cupboards, drawers, and smaller side rooms. Mechanical areas add more relevant checks through lockers, work surfaces, tool carts, and maintenance containers.

Reported places such as the broken highway in southwest Blue Gate, the Scrapyard and nearby apartments in Dam Battlegrounds, the shop near the Blue Gate checkpoint, and administrative or control rooms in Stella Montis are useful because they pack several search opportunities into a manageable route. Stella Montis tool carts deserve a visual scan too; the item may appear on an exposed surface instead of inside a container. RNG can still give you nothing, so a route with many quick checks is safer than repeatedly gambling on one room.

When the Item Changes the Raid

The moment an Air Freshener completes a project requirement, your priorities should change. Secure it in your safest inventory space, avoid optional fights, and take the nearest sensible extraction rather than extending the run for marginal loot. Cars and interiors are fast to check, but exposed items on desks, counters, dashboards, shelves, and benches are easy to miss when you're only watching for interaction prompts. Move quickly between loot clusters, then pause for a short visual sweep.

As of July 15, 2026, the Converging Paths project requires two Air Fresheners in its second stage and is scheduled to run through July 27. The July 14 update did not announce a change to this item or its recipe. That makes submission the safer priority until your required copies are secured. Afterward, keeping one spare is sensible if your stash allows it, especially if replacing one would mean several more risky raids.

The Crafting Choice Is Situational

One Air Freshener and one Fireball Burner can produce a Flame Spray through in-round crafting, provided you have the required crafting skill. The gadget projects fire in the aimed direction, but that doesn't make every spare Air Freshener an automatic craft. Use the recipe when your project needs are covered and you already have a tactical reason for the gadget. Otherwise, the original item preserves more options. Only sell extras when progression is complete, crafting isn't part of your current loadout plan, and stash pressure matters more than the time needed to find another.

That balance is the real Arc Raiders lesson here: loot value depends on timing, not appearance. Check the right environments, inspect surfaces as well as containers, and leave when the objective is safe. Players who need extra preparation can also buy ARC Items before a focused run, but careful routing and disciplined extraction remain the better way to protect your progress.
